NHRL October 2026
Background Now that some confidence was restored in Phenomenon, it was time to test its metal at NHRL! With 19 other 30lbers of the highest grade, that confidence will be either be boomed or busted. Vecna, who had so little time to fight before, would also get tested against some…

Orange County Maker Faire 2026
Introduction It’s time for another trip to the west! Much like last year’s trip to the RCL Championships it is good to move outside of just the eastern U.S. bubble. Besides seeing different people and keep up friendly connections, its important to keep your experiences flexible and test your robot’s…

Hive Hysteria 2026
Time for the second and most famous event at the Hive: Hive Hysteria! This event holds a special place in my heart as it highlights both the tremendous effort of my dear friends at Team Honey Cracked to host above insect-level fights locally but also because so many other friends…

Air and Armor 2026
Time for a bit of fun with insects! Though insect events like last year’s Hive events or MACRO events are less frequently written about, they do often happen in the background of the larger robot activities. Since the big ones get so much more attention and development energy, the insect-weights…

NHRL June 2026

An accidental first event of the year! Despite wanting to stop after Finals to make version 3, the low entries in the 30lb weight class for this event posed too great of a tactical opportunity to avoid; with only 9 entries in the class with 8 going to Primetime and…

NHRL Grand Finals 2025
After the October event Phenomenon was in good shape. The only repair to be made was to replace the ground wire on the switch. Its relative success in its fights (especially against Touro Feather) indicated a good setup for Finals. Because of this, efforts were turned to Vorion leading up…

NHRL October 2025
The preparation for the October begins the moment that the fight with MegatRon in June ended. Though Phenomenon came away from the fight largely intact, there was distinct damage done that had to be addressed. MegatRon’s shot to the fork and lifter revealed their frailty. Not to downplay MegatRon’s power,…

Summertime Beetime 2025: Hive Hysteria & Barnyard Brawl
It’s been peaceful since the June NHRL and they began their summer break. Other events had continued across the country and the world (which you can find on RCE, BuildersDB, or BristolBotBuilders) but since the bulk of the team efforts revolve around 30lb robots at NHRL it was a time…
